Diesel fuel from a private property has entered the stormwater system at Ngarimu Bay and entered the Firth of Thames. Waikato Regional Council has been contacted. TCDC has cleaned the diesel from the stormwater system. Waikato Regional Council expects the forecast rain as well as wave action to dissipate the diesel with minimal environmental effect.
