Anyone who lives in New Zealand can join our District Libraries. You do not need to be a Thames-Coromandel ratepayer or resident.
Types of memberships
Adult membership |
Applies to people over 18 year of age who wish to borrow from our District Libraries.

Junior and teen membership |
Applies to people under 18 years of age who wish to borrow from our District Libraries. |
Digital-only membership |
Applies to people who only wish to access our online services. |
All memberships are valid for 12 months, but you can extend your membership each year by updating your contact details.
How do I join the Library?
Sign up online
2. Visit your local District Library branch within two weeks to activate your library card.
3. You're now ready to go!
If you're signing up someone who's under 18 years old, please use the 'junior' membership option on the form.

Sign up for digital-only membership
- Fill in our online registration form and ensure you check "Digital Only" on the first page
- You'll receive a temporary membership number.
- You're now ready to go!
Use your new membership number and password to log in to our eBook and eAudio collection (ePlatform by Wheelers), and our online comic book collection (Comics Plus). You can find out more about our online resources here, or find out about accessing our apps here.
Digital membership is free, and it's valid for 12 months.
