Extra payment protection for TCDC vendors put in place

Thames-Coromandel District Council is now using Eftsure, a platform that helps our Council securely pay the companies that provide us with goods and services.

It works by making sure that payments from TCDC are independently verified to protect against cybercriminals and fraudsters. It also guards against employee error during the process to set up a new vendor with our Council (eg, by misentering a bank account number).

From this week, Council suppliers that haven’t already been verified by Eftsure will receive an email asking them to verify their payment details with Eftsure. This is a safe and secure process, Eftsure is an international leader in fraud detection and payment protection.
