The Tairua Business Association's Buy Local Campaign is back, encouraging residents and visitors to support local businesses. Shop local and go in the draw to win up to $250 worth of vouchers

Running until 30 August 2026, every purchase of $30 or more at participating businesses earns an entry into the fortnightly prize draw for a chance to win up to $250. If the lucky purchase is between $30 and $60, it wins $150 worth of vouchers. Over $60 wins $250 worth of vouchers. Plus, all losing entries from the six fortnightly draws go into a grand prize draw to win $1,000 in vouchers!

Entering couldn't be easier. Simply write your name and mobile number on the back of your receipt and pop it into the entry box at any participating business where you see the poster above.

Shopping local has never been more rewarding in Whangamatā.

Enterprise Whangamatā's Buy Local Campaign is encouraging residents and visitors to support local businesses throughout winter, with fantastic prizes up for grabs every fortnight.

Over the campaign, shoppers simply need to make a purchase at a participating local businesses, write their name and contact number on the back of their receipt, and place it in the entry box to go into the draw. Winners are selected every fortnight, giving plenty of chances to be rewarded for choosing to shop local.

Every participating business will determine what qualifies as a "valued transaction" for their industry. Examples include:

• a $20 purchase at a café

• a retail sale

• a booking or deposit

• a confirmed service enquiry (e.g. house build, trade job, design consultation).

Whether you‘re buying a coffee, making a retail purchase, booking a service or confirming a trade enquiry, eligible customers will receive an entry into the prize draw.

Simply visit participating businesses, complete a qualifying transaction, and they'll take care of the rest by recording your entry.

There are plenty of chances to win, with five individual prizes, a Local Legends Grand Prize, and a Business Winner Prize awarded to one participating local business.
