A warning about no swimming, fishing or shellfish gathering around the Whangarahi Stream is in place following an overflow of treated wastewater on 9 July. Following the clean-up, environmental monitoring is still in progress.
A ban on swimming, fishing and shellfish collection in the Moana Anuanu estuary remains in place while clean-up of recent contamination takes place.
Members of the public and media are welcome to attend the public part of any Council, Community Board or standing committee meeting. If there is a report you wish to speak to, you may do so in the public forum of the meeting.
