Patrick Kerr

I stand for: Accountability (results, value for money); Back to Basics; A fair deal for all ratepayers; Fiscal responsibility; Local Empowerment; Real Transparency; Accountability; Targeted economic development.

I am a businessman (retired).

I have lived in Whangamata for the nearly 10 years. For the past 3 years I have chaired Enterprise Whangamata, our local business association.

My vision for the Coromandel is one of vibrancy and togetherness. We have many disparate communities that constitute our district.

Our Coromandel is rooted in our unique identity and environment. We can protect our distinctiveness while fostering controlled, targeted growth.

To become economically sustainable, we need to enact business- and community-friendly policies, creating opportunities for private enterprise to invest and generate well-paid jobs, and establishing growth in our building, conference, hospitality, and accommodation sectors.

We can simply not afford to continue what we are doing. It is not sustainable!

Vote for me.

Through national advisory roles and international consulting, I bring strategic thinking to infrastructure renewal, digital connectivity, and climate resilience.

Peter Revell - Leadership You Can Count On

I'm standing for Mayor because Thames-Coromandel needs strong, proven leadership. With six years as an elected member, a master's degree in mathematics, and extensive senior management experience, I bring the knowledge and commitment to lead effectively.

I've heard your concerns - rates rising unacceptably, services falling short. I will prioritise essential services; roads, water and rubbish, ensuring they're reliable and affordable. I will work transparently with our communities, iwi, and the Chief Executive to deliver services that meet your needs, while maintaining tight financial discipline to lower rate increases. I'll ensure your voice is heard in Council decisions and protect our environment for future generations.

I care about every part of our district. Now is the time for a mayor who listens to all, will act with focus and integrity, and together with you will deliver real results.

Being entrusted with the role of Mayor over the last three years has been an enormous honour and a privilege.

It hasn’t always been easy. The storms of 2022-2023 hit many of our communities hard. The rebuild work is still ongoing in places, and secure, resilient roading access remains a challenge in places.

We have a very large district with diverse needs and challenges. They are not all the same, East to West Coast and North to South, but we are all part of the same community. I will maintain a commitment to providing fair and equitable leadership across all parts of the Coromandel District.

There is much work still to be done. I have a clear understanding of what our communities want, and what I can bring to the District to make a real and sustainable difference. I’m looking forward to the new term.

James Subritzky

TC-M__SUBRITZKY_J__zFJXD.jpg Candidate Profile

The Year 1842. A Polish immigrant mother (43) with five children leaves Germany, Sailing halfway around the world to the last place on Earth. A misspelling of her name on the shipping manifest marks her new identity and a fresh start in this new land. Her name becoming indigenous to New Zealand. Almost two centuries later now a large family of individuals but all descendants of this one remarkable woman. That story is what defines a Subritzky. From the cradle to the grave, we care for ourselves, our families and all those around us. There is no exception to this rule. Our health, our happiness, that's what makes the community our home. Like the Polish immigrant, leave the past, let's look to the future together.

No political affiliation. Yet. But I do like Winston.

I'd like to shake that man's hand and thank him for his service.
