Whitianga Kill the Bill Submission Writing Support
Public submissions on the ‘Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi Bill’ are currently open until 7th January 2025 for people to have their say.
The aim is to absolutely overwhelm the Justice Select Committee with submissions that straight up oppose the Bill in its entirety. It’s not a matter of negotiating points and finding compromise - the Bill is dangerous, divisive and needs to be killed.
Submission writing can be daunting if you’ve never done it before, so we’re offering submission writing support to:
Help you write and submit your submission
Assist with the digital stuff e.g. submitting through the Select Committee online portal
Provide prompts and context info, to make writing your submission easier
Provide info to enrol to vote and/or switch to the Māori roll if applicable
