Join local author Lisa Jury and illustrator Misun Jung for the launch of their debut children's book, Manaia's Atlas of Sport!

Bring the whānau along for a FREE afternoon of storytelling, adventure and fun as we celebrate a beautiful new children's book about sport, exploring Aotearoa and finding where we belong.

Mercury Bay Library, 22 Victoria Street, Whitianga

Join Manaia and her whānau as she maps sports across Aotearoa, and discovers that every new place has a story, an adventure and a chance to belong. From waka ama on the lake to forest hikes, mountain biking, climbing and skiing, Manaia finds adventure wherever she goes. Along the way, she asks “Where do I belong?” and discovers belonging in the connections we make and the adventures we share. Young readers can search for local sports throughout the story.
