Winter Wonderland Escape Room: Bookings are open now for our brand-new Winter Wonderland escape room! Get your team together and find your way out of the castle. You have 30 minutes to escape!

Week 1

Tuesday 7July

Create your very own paper plate snow globe with a penguin inside.

Wednesday 8 July

Snowflake crafts - Make a beaded snowflake or a snowflake suncatcher. 

Thursday 9 July

Make your very own winter wonderland light up house.

Week 2

Tuesday 14 July

Make a winter scene with a snowman using airdry clay and card.

Wednesday 15 July

DIY Penguin, using Polystyrene eggs and craft supplies.  

Thursday 16 July

Ice Age Box: Gather your team and see if you have what it takes to solve the easter clues and solve the escape box. Spots are limited, so be quick to secure your place. Contact Tairua Library to book.

Star Gazing Gadgets – Make your own constellation projector and compare it to the crisp, clear winter night sky.

DIY Scratch Art – Etch your intricate designs into your handmade themed shapes.

Mānawatia a Matariki – Reflect on the year that was by upcycling a photo frame, and we'll snap you a pic!

Cosy Winter Cups – Decorate your own hot chocolate mug to keep you toasty on colder days.

Wednesday 15 July

Winter Printmaking – Join us to learn a new art technique (collagraphs) using wintery colours.

Thursday 16 July

Pinecone critters - use natural winter offerings to create your own owl.
