Summer 2025/26 restricted hours
Our Council is providing a restricted cemetery service over the Christmas period.
When an interment (burial) is requested, we are required to complete a process of due diligence ahead of the interment proceeding which requires specialist knowledgeable staff to be available. Our staff and contractors will be taking a break over the holiday period. For this reason, please note the implications of the holiday period on the services we are able to offer.
Processing the paperwork required for an interment application between Christmas and New Year, will only be able to occur on:
- Monday, 29 December
- Tuesday, 30 December
- Wednesday, 31 December
Our Council will not be carrying out interments on the following dates:
- Wednesday 24 December
- Thursday 25 December
- Friday 26 December
- Saturday 27 December
- Sunday 28 December
- Thursday 1 January
- Friday 2 January
- Saturday 3 January
- Sunday 4 January
Given three clear working days’ notice, interments may be able to be undertaken, depending upon confirmation of legal requirements and resource allocation on:
- Monday 29 December
- Tuesday 30 December
- Wednesday 31 December
