Farm material recycling services

The two main farm plastic recycling programmes in New Zealand’s primary sector are Agrecovery and Plasback.

Both companies have been collecting and facilitating the recycling of farm plastic in New Zealand for more than 15 years and are accredited voluntary product stewardship schemes under the Waste Minimisation Act.

They are committed to reducing the environmental impact of agricultural practices through innovative recycling technologies and partnerships.

PLASBACK

There are five different streams of plastic that Plasback can collect and recycle. The 5 streams of plastic waste that can be collected and recycled include bale wrap, silage pit covers, low density polypropylene feed bags (LDPE), woven polypropylene bulk bags (1T & 500kg), High Density Polypropylene (HDPE) containers, Vineyard netting (HDPS monofilament nets) and polypropylene twine.

Each stream must be in a separate liner. Stream 1 & 5 must be in a separate Plasback liner.
