Drinking water services:

Coromandel Town Water Notice

We're asking Coromandel Town residents to please conserve water for approximately the next 24 to 48 hours. The heavy rain we have had yesterday and overnight has caused the stream we draw water from to carry a heavy sediment load. This means the water treatment plant has to be shut off at times or process at a much slower rate due to the additional sediment in the water. If residents can be mindful of their water use at this time, it would be much appreciated.

We will be setting up a water tanker in Coromandel Town for residents to utilise should water supply be affected.

Continuation of Matatoki, Puriri and Omahu Water Notice - issued 30 October

We're asking Matatoki, Puriri and Omahu residents to please conserve water for approximately the next 24 to 48 hours. The heavy rain we have had yesterday and overnight has as a result caused the streams we draw water from to carry a heavy sediment load. This means the water treatment plants have to process at a much slower rate due to the additional sediment in the water, or even be shut off at times to clean filters. If residents can be mindful of their water use at this time, it would be much appreciated.

To support the water supply we have set up a water tanker in Puriri for residents to utilise.
