Parking Control Bylaw 2014

Our current Parking Control Bylaw was adopted in November 2014. We have parking rules to:

  • enhance road safety
  • manage traffic flows effectively
  • allocate parking spaces when it comes to competing users
  • provide for the needs of special user groups.

The Bylaw includes district-wide rules and specific local parking controls that are detailed in the Bylaw schedule (like restrictions for no parking, time limits, bus stops, mobility parking). The local parking controls in Schedule A are amended by Council resolution from time to time.
