What this survey is about

We’re asking local businesses to share their thoughts on:

  • Whether or not your business feels supported by Council
  • Current business sentiment in the district
  • How we can better support local businesses over the long term

Your insights will help inform Council reports, including those for the Long Term Plan, where we track key performance measures, and will help shape the Economic Development team’s ongoing work.

Who should complete the survey?

This survey is open to any organisation that conducts business in the Thames-Coromandel District. We encourage a representative from your organisation to complete the survey.

How long will it take?

This Economic Development Survey will be conducted annually, helping us track the evolving needs and sentiments of businesses in the Thames-Coromandel District. By making this a regular part of our engagement with local businesses, we aim to:

  • Continuously monitor the effectiveness of the support we offer and how business-friendly our Council is
  • Identify emerging trends and challenges faced by businesses in the district
  • Measure progress on our Council’s Long Term Plan service targets.

Your participation each year will provide valuable data to help us adapt and improve our economic development strategies, ensuring we stay responsive to the needs of the local business community.
