Maritime facilities bylaw 2015 operative in time for summer 17 December 2015 Simplified rules Recreational boaties, charters, commercial fishers and marine farmers now have clear and simplified rules to work with in Council's Maritime Facilities Bylaw 2015. The Maritime Facilities Bylaw does not change any fees, but simplifies Council's rules around facilities like wharves, jetties, boat ramps, quays, piers, and pontoons. Consultation was held from 9 October to 9 November 2015 with a Hearing for those who wished to present their submissions in person held in Thames on Monday 7 December. The final bylaw was adopted by Council on Wednesday 9 December 2015 and became operative on Monday 14 December. You can read the rules on line here or download the Bylaw as a PDF to read offline.
