Are you an experienced Network and Systems Engineer looking for a fresh challenge?

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Network and Systems Engineer to join the IT team ensuring Council’s systems and infrastructure are fit for purpose for both the Council and partner organisations.

Leave the traffic lights and the city hustle and bustle behind and make the move to the Coromandel Peninsula. To hit the ground running, you must have strong problem-solving skills and deep technical knowledge.

This role covers the design and implementation of processes, procedures and operational management associated with high levels of network availability and risk management with a strong focus on Microsoft cloud services.

Can you actively drive a quality and risk focus for technology, working with staff to increase internal awareness and capability, and ensuring security of systems and networks?

You will need an innovative mind set and be an improvement focused team player who shows initiative and inspires commitment to achieve Council outcomes.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and understanding of:

  • critical analysis, and embedding a continuous improvement culture in business processes
  • network design, analysis and measurement
  • Microsoft  Azure and O365 deployment and administration
  • Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager
  • VMWare
  • established change, incident and problem management processes
