Liquor Ban Areas

This is a list of dates and places where liquor bans will apply around the Coromandel

Our alcohol bans are as traditional as Coromandel beaches at New Year.

There are signs at the entrances to the ban areas, we advertise them in the public notices and we also list them on this page.

Note: Our Council adopted the Alcohol Control Bylay 2018 on 30 October 2018. It takes effect on 18 December 2018. The new bylaw sets out slightly different alcohol ban areas and times to those on this page. Visit our Alcohol Control Bylaw 2018 web page for details on the new alcohol ban times and areas.
