The consultation on the proposal to revoke the Standards of Camping on Private Property Bylaw has now closed. The proposal outlined that the Bylaw is no longer considered useful for addressing issues relating to camping on private property. Instead, our Council thinks that current legislation such as the Health Act can manage sanitation and nuisance issues. Overcrowding and nuisance can also be managed through the Police. The consultation period for the revocation ran from Friday 23 July 2021 until 4pm on Monday 23 August 2021. You can read the current Bylaw here and the statement of proposal here.
