As of Monday 30 June 2008, Thames-Coromandel District Council will be operating in Land Information New Zealand’s (“LINZ”) e-certification system. This will mean that all subdivision certificates, including 223 and 224c's, will now be able to be completed online.
It is anticipated that the process for lodgement of certification applications with Council will not change, other than that hard copy certificates will no longer be required to be submitted. To clarify, what Council will require as part of all certification applications, the following checklist as set out below:
1. An application letter setting out the following:
(a) Council's application number;
(b) The Land Transfer (“LT”) plan number;
(c) The type(s) of certificate(s) being applied for,
e.g. 223, 224c etc;
(d) Any supporting documentation including
Engineering/Surveyor certification, Network
certification etc;
(e) Details of each condition of consent relevant to
the certificate being applied for and comments
as appropriate.
2. The pre-payment fee for the relevant certificate(s)
being applied for, as per Council's Fees and Charges
Schedule.
3. Where applicable, any Section 221 Consent Notices,
as these will still need to be executed in hard copy.
4. A hard copy of the LT Plan(s) and any relevant
Memoranda or Schedule(s) for Council reference.
Please note that Council will require all surveyors to have prepared the relevant certificates in the LINZ workspace prior to application. The application letter, together with the online notification trigger received from LINZ, will then action the signing process. Council does not anticipate that this change in process will impact on processing time frames, however should you wish to discuss any aspect of this change please do not hesitate to contact Council's Development Planning Officer, Jane Andrews on 07 868 0200.
