Health and Safety requirements for a public event
Health and Safety Plan
If you are organising any commercial event at a public place or a non-commercial event with more than 500 people expected then you must prepare a health and safety plan. This should identify all hazards that may arise to participants or others in the vicinity of the event.
Organisers must consider reasonable to be put in place to eliminate, isolate or minimise the hazards as a matter of public safety.
There is a hazards checklist found on the back page of our event application form that must be filled in by all event organisers.
