As a district council we provide a range of services for people who live and work on the Peninsula and those visiting the area.
Some services and activities we deliver are required by law, while others are discretionary. The services and levels of service we offer are determined through the Ten Year Plan and Annual Plan process.

- Street lights not working
What we don't do..
Animals and Insects
Removal of :
- Vermin and rodent control on private property
- Removal of insects (bees, wasps) on private property
State Highway Roads
Management of:
- State highway signs and roads
- Kopu Bridge
Driveways, vehicle crossing and berms
- Mowing of berms outside residential property (with some exceptions). Please refer to our Berm mowing policy
- Maintenance of driveways or vehicle crossings
Signs
Management of:
- Signage for tourist attractions
- Anything below the high tide line, please contact Waikato Regional Council
Water, Rivers and high tide line
- Removal of rubbish or dead animals in rivers and waterways, please contact Waikato Regional Council
- Water leaks on the consumer side of the water meter
Jetty
- Building a jetty requires a consent from Waikato Regional Council
Other
- Air pollution
- Pensioner housing
- Tree trimming on private property.
