To build a stronger Coromandel we know we have to do more with less. We're committed to keeping rates as low as possible.
Inflation
We all battle with inflation. One dollar earnt last year has less purchasing power this year. Inflation (consumer price index) rose 1.4% between 2010 and 2011 and was just over 4% as an average in 2011.
Rates averages (by Community Board area)
Averages are just that...averages, the middle range. It's a general gauge on where we're going with rates, so we suggest you use our rates calculator for specific information about your property.
The best way to get a feel for average rate movements is by Community Board area, so at least the average is based on local community costs, projects and services.
Download the 'averages' from the download box on the right-hand side of this page.
Average rates are worked out by dividing the total revenue by the number of 'rating units'.
