Kuaotunu

Have your say in the future of Kuaotunu!

Ratepayers and members of the community in the Kuaotunu, Grays Beach & Rings Beach areas are invited to contribute to the Kuaotunu Community Plan currently being prepared by the Mercury Bay Community Board in conjunction with the Kuaotunu Ratepayers Association. This plan will reflect the hopes, ideas and priorities of our community for the future direction of Kuaotunu, so it is important you take advantage of this opportunity by completing this questionnaire and if possible, attending the community meeting (below).

The resulting document will form part of the Thames-Coromandel District Council’s long term plans. It will provide a framework which can be used to guide decision making for local planning purposes (although its contents are not binding on the Council). It may for example be used to secure support from within and outside the community for funding for specific projects. It is in the same format as that being prepared by other communities across the district and will be incorporated into a ‘Mercury Bay North Communities Outcome Document’. The plan will be both used and reported on annually to the Community Board and the public.

Communities covered by the Plan:

The Kuaotunu Community Plan is being prepared for three communities, those being Kuaotunu, Grays Beach and Rings Beach. The boundary for these three communities is from the top of the Kuaotunu Hill at the Robson’s property, top of the Black Jack Hill and Mynderman’s Hill.
