Meeting dates and locations are publicly notified in local newspapers five to fourteen days before the end of each month. Special and emergency meetings are publicly notified as soon as practicable before the meeting. In general, no meetings are held in January. Members of the public can inspect copies of agendas at Council service centres and libraries two days prior to the meeting. Meetings are generally held at the following times, days and locations but may change from time to time.

Council meetings are held six weekly at 9:00 am, in the Council Chambers, Thames. From time to time, Council holds its meetings at other locations throughout the District. The Wednesday two weeks prior to the Council meeting is held in reserve for Council workshops or special meetings.

Audit Committee

Judicial Committee
9:00 am on the second Thursday of the month in Thames. From time to time, the Committee may hold its meetings at another location. The Thursday immediately following the last Council meeting of the month is held in reserve for Hearings Committee workshops or special meetings. Service Delivery Committee
Commencing Wednesday 20 Feburary at 9:00 am, here after on a six weekly cycle. From time to time, the Committee may hold its meetings at another location. For more information about this Committee, click here.

Coromandel\Colville Community Board
9:00am on the second Tuesday of the month at the Coromandel Service Centre.
Mercury Bay Community Board
9:00 am on the second Tuesday of the month at the Mercury Bay Service Centre.
Tairua\Pauanui Community Board
Meetings alternate monthly until December this year between Pauanui Lakes Resort and Tairua Bowling Club.
Thames Community Board
9:00 am on the second Monday of the month in the Council Chamber, Thames.
Whangamata Community Board
1:30 pm on the second Wednesday of the month at the Whangamata Service Centre.
