Born in Wellington 1939. Attended Ardmore Teacher's College, teaching for 30 years. Retired from Teaching as Principal of Hopelands School, Woodville 1989.
Awarded Associate Member of New Zealand Educational Institute "For services to education in the widest sense". Chairman Woodville Centennial Celebrations, 1975 - co produced 400 page history of the area. Deputy District Governor District 202B Lions International 1974-75.
I Live with my wife Cynthia in Whangamata we have a family of two daughters and two sons, and have been married for 48 years.
Local Body and national politics have been a lifetime interest and involvement. The opportunity to work positively for the advancement of "best outcomes" for the Whangamata and Tairua/Pauanui Wards and the wider district are a challenge I embrace absolutely.
