Voting

Voting documents will be sent to all eligible electors by post.

The voting period is three weeks and electors may post their completed voting papers back to the Electoral Officer using a pre-paid envelope which will be sent with the voting documents.

A Polling Place for the issuing of special voting papers and for the receiving of completed voting papers will be available from :

  • Council Main Office, 515 Mackay Street, Thames
  • Coromandel Service Centre, 355 Kapanga Road, Coromandel
  • Mercury Bay Service Centre, 10 Monk Street, Whitianga
  • Whangamata Service Centre, 620 Port Road, Whangamata
  • The Electoral Office (Ground Floor, Bledisloe House, 24 Wellesley Street, Auckland)

To be counted, all completed voting documents must be in the hands of the Electoral Officer, Deputy Electoral Officer or Electoral Official by 12 noon on polling day.

Candidates and scrutineers may request lists of names of person returning completed voting documents. Refer to the Electoral Roll.
