Parking Permits

Boat Trailer Permits

Council has identified in its Ten Year Plan that it is introducing fee charges to all boat trailer parkers at Council boat ramps. This follows the current permit parking scheme operating in Whangamata.

The revenue received from the sale of permits is to be put back into the harbour activity. Council has determined that boat ramp users benefit more from this activity than all ratepayers do.

Roads and off road parking places close to boat ramps where controls are in place have signage to the effect that parking is permitted for vehicles with a boat trailer attached displaying a current parking permit. Designated boat ramps and permit controlled areas.
