Notification - Summary of Decisions Requested and Call for Further Submissions

In accordance with Clause 7 of Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act 1991, a summary of the decisions requested in submissions received on Proposed Variation 24 and Plan Change 3 - Natural Hazards: Flooding to the Thames-Coromandel District Plan (Operative in Part) has been prepared.

Copies of the summary may be inspected at the following places during normal office and library hours:

Thames-Coromandel District Council offices and public libraries in:

  • Thames
  • Whitianga
  • Coromandel
  • Whangamata

The summary of decisions requested identifies only the outcomes sought in each submission.

Full copies of the submissions may be inspected at the Thames-Coromandel District Council offices in Thames, Coromandel and Whitianga during normal office hours.

Further Submissions
Further submissions can now be made by any person, but only in support of or opposition to any of the original submissions. That is, no new proposals beyond the scope of the original submissions may be introduced at this further submission stage.

A standard form, which may be used for lodging a further submission, is available from any of the Thames-Coromandel District Council offices listed above (Form 6 as specified in the Resource Management Act 1991).

Any person who makes a further submission must, within 5 working days, serve a copy of their further submission on the person who made the original submission.

Proposed Variation 24 and Plan Change 3: Flooding to the District Plan (Operative in Part)


The Thames-Coromandel District Council has prepared the following proposed variation and plan change to its District Plan - Operative in Part (the proposal):

Proposed Variation 24 and Plan Change 3 proposes to Refine / Update Natural Hazards Provisions – Flooding.

The proposal may be inspected at the following places:

Thames-Coromandel District Council offices in Thames, Whitianga, Coromandel and Whangamata, and public libraries in the District.

Members of the public may inspect the documents at these places at any time they are open to the public.

Alternatively, a full copy of Proposed Variation 24 and Plan Change 3 is available on the website www.tcdc.govt.nz or can be obtained by contacting the District Plan Co-ordinator on 07 868 0200.

Please contact the District Plan Co-ordinator if you have any questions about the proposed variation and plan change.
